Makana's Place is a two bedroom, one bath home in quaint Kailua Town. This Non-Smoking home is very spacious over 1600 square feet living quarters, which is equivalent to a 4-5 bedroom home. Beautifully decorated with fine quality furniture (Koa). Makana's Place features a full kitchen plus kitchenette with 2 rooms, 1 bath an extra queen sofabed and single bed located in the extra large spacious living room. There is a very cozy patio area with a fountain and beautiful cooper lighting to enjoy outside while cooking on the BBQ staring at the stars at night. Wonderful for children. The beach, yes the beach. It is about a three-five minute drive away or a 20 minute walk. It has been rated the #1 beach in "best beaches" survey. Most people come to Kailua for Kailua and Lanikai Beach. Makana's Place takes great pride in making sure your stay in Hawaii is everything you expect it to be - and more! We'll help make sure your visit to Oahu exceeds your expectations. This property now offers wireless internet service too!

This property is a legally established dwelling that is rented for periods of 30 consecutive days or more at any one time.

The property will be made exclusively available to the renter for a full period of 30 days and no one else may occupy the property during that period. The 30-day rental period will be communicated to guest upon booking. All rates quoted will be based on a 30 day period. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

In compliance with the Revised Ordinances of the City & County of Honolulu, the Property will be made available to you for your use and occupancy for a period of thirty (30) days. If you do not stay for the full 30 day period and stay for your scheduled dates the property will remain vacant through the end of the scheduled 30 day period.

$325 - $575 per night. 40% down to hold a reservation. Balance due 60 days before check-in. $300.00 security deposit. $353.89 cleaning fee. 4% processing fee. Listed rates do not include tax. Holiday and peak season rates and required length of stay may be different than quoted above. Credit cards, cash, checks and wire transfers accepted.   • First off property is very nice. Property rules called for quiet hours but yet neighbor on one side had a little party in front yard every night. Did not bother us but if you are going to have house rules I would think it should be consistent with the neighborhood. Had hot water issues and owner was pretty accommodating with a solution but to me this is major item to not have working. Also, grill did not have grilling tools so we improvised. The refrigerator ice maker did not work, that would be nice, property was advertised with a full kitchen and ice makers are pretty standard today with house rentals. it is Remote control for HVAC unit not working, I fixed myself using other remote batteries. Could not get the DVD player working. Owner only supplied a starter roll of paper towels and toilet paper. From my research this is not standard practice with vacation rentals for short term rental.

  • We stayed at Makana's on O'ahu from july the 19th for 4 nights. We did enjoyed certains points. However, we were disappointed with some others. We liked the location of the small house. There are beautiful beaches that are very closed. There are also some great restaurants nearby. We did not like the reception....It was very cold and distant. The bed, in the master bedroom, is extremely uncomfortable. The towels are full of stains. There are candles on the table, outside, we tried them and we have realized that they were battery....We made them operate and had a very pleasant dinner by candlelight....However, on our returns, the owner told the agency that we had completely destroyed them !!! They took 69 $ on our deposit for 2 candles !!! It was disheartening after spending 4 nights in a very very bad bed. In fact, the bed is completely finished.
