Also on the north shore is Makua (Tunnels) Beach and Kee Beach, both known for their great snorkeling, and Anini Beach with crystal blue waters protected by an offshore reef. Just east of Anini is Kalihiwai Bay with expansive golden sands and a river meandering into the sea.
