Kauai Lagoons Golf Club

This club is located on the edge of the central Kaua'i town of Lihue, just minutes from the airport, and is managed by Marriot Golf. The 18-hole Kiele Course is a Jack Nicklaus design, winding through guava and mango forests, with lagoons as water hazards. A portion of the course plays along mile of unobstructed oceanfront, making for fantastic views of Nawiliwili Harbor and the Pacific Ocean facing east.

Highlights:  Amazing location with recent 2011 renovations, the course was designed by legend of golf, Jack Nicklaus. 40 acres of fresh water lagoons are woven into the course adding to the scenic beauty and challenge.
Challenges: The course design features lots of water hazards and bunkers mid-fairway and surrounding the greens. Several holes play against the Pacific Ocean as a water hazard.

The Kiele Course underwent expansion and redesign to its' back 9 in 2011. The renovated course has much improved the ocean front holes, but also increased the challenge of play.

Directions:

• Driving directions from the North - head South on Kuhio Hwy, Hwy 56 until it turns into Kapule Hwy, Hwy 51. Continue on Kapule Hwy for 2.8 miles until it ends. Turn left at Rice Street continuing on Hwy 51 South for 1/4 mile. Turn left on Hoolaulea Way at the resort entrance. Drive into the resort for 500 yards until you reach the front of the Kauai Marriott Hotel. Continue for another 500 yards until reaching the golf parking area on the left. The Golf Pro Shop and bag drop will be across on the right.
• Driving directions from the South - head North on Hwy 50, Kamualii Hwy. Turn right on Nawiliwili Rd Hwy 58. Continue on Nawiliwili Rd for 2.8 miles. Turn right on Hoolaulea Way at the resort entrance. Drive into the resort for 500 yards until you reach the front of the Kauai Marriott Hotel. Continue for another 500 yards until reaching the golf parking area on the left. The Golf Pro Shop and bag drop will be across on the right.
